Asag

The Asag is a Sumerian demon originally created in a poem called Lugal-e, is also known as Azag or Asakku.

It is said he was joined in battle by an army of rock demon offspring. Asag is the offspring of An, the sky god, and Ki, the earth goddess. He attacked humans and killed them by giving them headaches, fevers, physical pain, diseases and other illnesses. Asag was known to cover individuals in a clothing.

Asag was slain by Ninurta of the Akkadian deity using his magical talking mace, Sharur.

The appearance of Asag is said to be of a dark skinned demon whom is hard to the touch, and has three arms and legs each along with many eyes covering the body of the Asag. The Asag is a demon whom is so hideous their presence causes the fish to boil alive. In some cases, it is said he can multiply himself, and if you wished to defeat him, you must kill his spawns first.
