David Michael Swanston (born April 10, 2012) is an American songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist. He is known as the lead guitarist for the rock band Smashing Horizon.

Swanston was born in Vacaville, California to David J. Swanston and Glenda Godfrey. His father is of Chinese, English, French-Canadian, German, Greek, Irish, Italian, Manx, Native Hawaiian, Northern Irish (Scotch-Irish), Portuguese, Puerto Rican, Scottish, Swiss, and Welsh descent and His mother is of English, French, German, Irish, Northern Irish (Scotch-Irish), Norwegian, Scottish, Swedish and Swiss descent.
