Plot[]
Three years after the events of the second film, Blueblood and Rosy are to succeed the dying King Henry, but his attempts to serve as the Regent during Henry's medical absence end in disaster. Blueblood insists that it's not an ideal and that there must be someone else to rule the kingdom. Before he dies, Henry tells Blueblood of another heir: Rosy's cousin Andre. Meanwhile, King Tirek vows to become King of Paris and avenge the death of his older brother King Tearak. Tirek flies to his castle and persuades his dragons to fight for Paris.
Blueblood, Hoovey and Pedro set out to retrieve Andre. As they sail away, Rosy reveals to Blueblood that she is pregnant, much to Blueblood's horror, as he believes that he is incapable of raising children. The trio journey to the island where they discover Andre is a scrawny, 16-year-old underachiever. Blueblood tells Andre he has been chosen to be king of Paris. Andre is excited until Hoovey and Pedro accidentally caused a ship to move toward a ship. Andre tries to control the ship, following a scuffle with Blueblood, the ship crashes on a remote island where they encounter a wizard Maurice.
Rosy and Queen Darlene host Doris, Lily, Sparkle and Rainbow for a baby shower when Tirek and his goons attack the castle. The animals stall Tirek's group long enough for the ladies to escape. When one of racoons accidentally reveals that Blueblood has gone to retrieve Andre, Tirek sends Fireball and his goons to track them down. The ladies are locked in a tower after they were caught by Tirek.
Fireball and his goons catch up to Blueblood on Maurice's island. Blueblood avoids capture, and Fireball reveals Tirek's takeover of Paris. Blueblood urges Andre to Paris. Andre cons Maurice into using his magic to send them to Paris. They find Deer and learn that Tirek plans to kill Blueblood as a trap. After breaking into the castle, they are caught and taken captive.
Tirek prepares to kill Andre to retain the crown. To save Andre's life, Blueblood claims that he was just using Andre to replace him as the next king. Tirek believes Blueblood and allows a disheartened Andre to leave. Hoovey and Pedro are imprisoned with Rosy and the ladies, where Rosy grows frustrated with their lack of initiative. Lily breaks the wall down with her hooves. While the princesses launch a rescue mission for Blueblood, Hoovey and Pedro free Chipmunk, Deer and the others along with Poppy and his foals. Hoovey and Pedro mollify Andre by explaining that Blueblood saved his life.
Tirek stages a trap in front of the kingdom. Just as Tirek is about to kill Blueblood, Rosy, Pedro and Hoovey, the princesses and other animal characters confront the villains, but are quickly subdued. Andre shows up and gives a speech to the villains. The villains and Tirek lung at Andre with their swords. Blueblood clashes the sword with Tirek and he heroically stabbed Tirek on the heart.
Andre is crowned the new king. While the kingdom celebrates, Maurice uses the magic to give Hoovey a caparison. At Blueblood's castle, Rosy gave birth to a daughter Flurry, coping with parenthood with help from Hoovey, Pedro, Darlene and Poppy.
