This is a list of apologies issued by organisations and public figures to the People's Republic of China.

Background

With the growth of China's economy, many organisations and public figures around the world have been forced to publicly apologize to China after making statements or taking actions that allegedly offended China or its people. Many of the apologies are related to the political status of Taiwan.

Airlines, Hotels, and Travel

Airlines and others had to agree not to refer to Taiwan as a separate nation.

Government Organizations

  • Department of National Defense (Philippines) apologized for using the wrong logo on a banner during a ceremony. [5]

Sports and Entertainment

  • Chelsea F.C.[6]
  • Disney apologized for funding the movie Kundun which China had protested them doing. China responded by blocking all Disney movies and a popular television show of theirs in their nation for a time.[7]
