City of Santa Barbara operates three community gardens for families, children, seniors and low-income city residents. Gardens are located on Rancheria Street, Yanonali Street and Modoc Road. Garden plot size is 10'X 20'

Community Roots Garden is a ministry of and located, at the North Oxnard United Methodist Church. The garden uses a group or cooperative approach. Food is donated to various community hunger programs.

Las Flores Community Garden is a community-based garden promoting and upholding organic gardening methods.


Cornucopia Community Garden is operated by the city of Ventura’s Community Services Department. The garden operates approximately 145 individual plots.

Jordan Avenue Community Garden in midtown Ventura, those who tend the 20 individual plots also must spend two hours each month on general garden maintenance in addition to paying an annual fee.
